The Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) will further open up the Sha Tau Kok Closed Area (STKCA) in January 2024 by giving designated travel agents the right to organize tours to the entire Sha Tau Kok Closed Area (except Chung Ying Street). The public will be able to learn more about the history and culture of the region, its natural scenery and the 10 new tourist attractions.

The Hong Kong GeoPark and TIC has jointly organise an online training course for holders of the Tourist Guide Pass and the Tour Escort Pass about the relevant information in order to enhance of the standards of the trade’s professional services.

*After completed the course with specified requirements, each participant will receive a proof of completing “Item C - Self-selected Activities (4 hours)” under the Continuing Professional Development Scheme for Tourist Guides.
